Good news to the camera-loving crowd, Olympus just unveiled its newest babies –the Stylus Tough 8010 and the Stylus Tough 6020. These two new shutter gadgets are rugged cameras that belong to the Tough series making your hiking or off-road adventures more memorable. The tougher shells of these two are waterproof and you can go as deep as 10 meters into the water and still use the 8010 or the 6020.They are also shockproof from a drop of 2 meters.
If you love winter sports or do a lot of activities during the wintertime, these two cameras from Olympus are the right choice for your because they are freezeproof and can withstand -10°C.
The tough series are known for their ruggedness yet still sleek exterior. With 14 megapixel sensors that stabilize your images, you will never go wrong with any of these two. The lenses for the 8010 and the 6020 are from 28 to 140mm. They also have 2.7 inch LCDs equipped with advanced tap control.
Tough 8010 has an internal memory of 2GB while its 6020 brother boasts a 1GB internal memory. These two also have HD video recording. Amazing isn’t it? Well as the saying goes, “When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.” For those interested in what else these toughies got to offer, well they can also shift to Intelligent Auto Mode and operate on HDMI technology. There is no need for a socket to charge these cameras as well because they can charge on your USB slot.
These two newest additions to the tough series are also SD Card compatible. But what makes the Tough 8010 and the Tough 6020 different from each other? Aside from 8010 bagging in the bigger internal memory, it also has a manometer while the 6020 doesn’t. Tough 8010 is available in Silver, Midnight Black, and Platinum while the Tough 6020 is available in Candy Pink, Midnight Black, Cosmic Green, and Steel Blue.
The cameras will be out in the market by March 2010 so prepare $557.50 if you want to get the 8010 or $450 if you want to get the 6020.
